X Factor winner Matt Cardle headlined a free concert in Bents Park, South Shields yesterday (Sunday, July 22) as part of the South Tyneside Summer Festival 2012, organised by South Tyneside Council.
Support came from Britain’s Got Talent contestant Ryan O’Shaughnessy, former Neighbours heartthrob Sam Clark, South Tyneside Summer Festival’s house band Four Worried Men, and South Shields singer Abi Garrido, who was recently named Young Performer of the Year at the Pride of South Tyneside Awards.
